CAF Awards 2025 nominees have been unveiled, highlighting the finest performers across African football for the year.

The Confederation of African Football announced the list of candidates in the men’s categories, recognising excellence among players, coaches, clubs, and national teams from January 6 to October 15, 2025.
A distinguished panel comprising CAF Technical & Development Committee members, former coaches, CAF legends, and select media representatives meticulously selected 10 nominees in each category.
The selection took into account performances in all domestic and international competitions.
Leading the pack are Cameroon’s Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, both enjoying standout seasons with Napoli and Liverpool, as well as impressive contributions to their national sides.
Other remarkable nominees include DR Congo’s Fiston Mayele, whose goal-scoring prowess was pivotal in Pyramids’ CAF Champions League triumph, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, and Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye.
The men’s goalkeeper category boasts top names such as Andre Onana (Cameroon), Edouard Mendy (Senegal), and Ahmed El Shenawy (Egypt), among others.
In the coaching arena, contenders include Egypt’s Hossam Hassan, Morocco’s Walid Regragui, and Cape Verde’s Bubista, reflecting the breadth of tactical expertise across the continent.
The nominees for men’s young player, national team, club, and interclub player of the year also showcase the wealth of emerging and established talent in African football, spanning countries from Algeria and Tunisia to South Africa and Tanzania.
