A clash between hoodlums in the Ile-Epo area of Lagos State has resulted in numerous individuals sustaining injuries and significant property damage, according to reports from Punch Metro.
The altercation, which began in a market situated in the area on Wednesday night, escalated and persisted into Thursday morning. During the confrontation, several shops were set ablaze, and goods were destroyed in the ensuing chaos.
Punch Metro’s correspondent, who visited the scene of the incident, observed that the intervention efforts by the police were hindered by the hoodlums, exacerbating the situation.
Furthermore, a fire service truck dispatched to the market this morning faced aggression from the hoodlums, forcing it to retreat after being attacked with stones.
As investigations into the clash continue, authorities are urged to take swift action to apprehend those responsible and restore order in the affected area, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and businesses.
