Cubana Chief Priest admits not supporting Tinubu in last election was a mistake, pledges cooperation with the federal government and future political unity
Cubana Chief Priest has publicly acknowledged that failing to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election was a political misstep, announcing a new strategy focused on cooperation with the federal government.

Speaking at a political gathering in Imo State, Chief Priest described the event as the culmination of weeks of planning, symbolising the growing unity and support for the current administration.
“Years of opposition did not yield results. We have decided to partner with the government at the center. We are not ready to fight. We tried fighting and it didn’t work for us,” he said.
The entrepreneur praised Hope Uzodimma for maintaining a strong relationship with the federal government, highlighting the role of such cooperation in driving state development.
Chief Priest also lauded Seyi Tinubu as a unifying influence fostering stronger ties across ethnic and regional lines.
Reflecting on the last election, Chief Priest admitted that opposing President Tinubu had been a miscalculation.
“Politics is a game…we don’t want to lose again and we will never waste our votes again,” he said.
He suggested that the growing support for Tinubu could develop into one of the largest political movements in Nigeria, promising intensified mobilisation ahead of future elections.
