In a statement released on Tuesday via its official X account, the company said it had become aware of individuals falsely claiming to represent the organisation, its leadership, and family members for financial gain.
The management said the impostors were circulating fake investment offers, business proposals, charity requests, employment promises and other deceptive schemes designed to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The company clarified that neither it nor its Group President, Aliko Dangote, initiates contact with individuals through social media platforms for financial transactions or business opportunities.
Dangote Industries also named Fatima Aliko Dangote, Mariya Aliko Dangote and Halima Aliko Dangote, stressing that none of them solicit funds, contracts or personal information through WhatsApp, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or similar platforms.
The statement added that the executives do not operate Facebook or TikTok accounts.
The company emphasised that all official communications are disseminated strictly through verified corporate channels and recognised media platforms.
It urged Nigerians to disregard unsolicited messages, calls or social media accounts claiming affiliation with Dangote Industries or its executives.
In a decisive move, the conglomerate said it is working closely with relevant security and law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute those behind the fraudulent schemes.
Dangote Industries reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its brand integrity and safeguarding the public.
