Davido condemns Edo school bullying after viral video shows students attacking a peer, prompting expulsions and police investigation
Afrobeats star Davido, born David Adeleke, has condemned a viral video showing students of Igbinedion Secondary School assaulting a peer, describing the incident as “so disgusting” in a post on X on Sunday.

The footage, which has circulated widely online, showed two male students beating and kicking another student who lay on the ground, while a third student recording the incident pleaded with them to stop.
One boy was dragged by his suit and stomped on his chest as he cried in pain.
The viral clip sparked widespread outrage, prompting swift disciplinary action by the school authorities.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikioedem, confirmed that the students directly involved in the assault were expelled, while the student who recorded the video was suspended.
The statement added that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, had directed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident.
“The Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the statement read.
Investigations have commenced, and authorities assured the public that all responsible parties would be arrested and prosecuted in line with their ages.
