The office complex of the Department of State Services (DSS) erupted in celebration following the announcement of Yusuf Magaji Bichi’s removal as the agency’s Director-General.
In a widely circulated video, DSS officials were seen jubilating in response to the news.
President Bola Tinubu officially appointed Mr Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the DSS. Ajayi, who previously served as Assistant Director-General, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held key positions within the agency throughout his extensive career.
Ajayi’s tenure with the DSS includes serving as State Director in several significant states, such as Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to bring new leadership to the security agency.
