English Alhaji reports threats from suspected bandits, which video was posted on his Instagram page, where he alleged that armed men contacted him directly via WhatsApp video call.
According to him, the callers appeared confident and unmasked during the conversation, displaying weapons and warning him over comments he previously made regarding the killing of captured suspects rather than handing them over to security agencies.
He said the development made him realise the level of danger surrounding his public statements, noting that his phone number may have been obtained through his social media platforms.
The digital creator had earlier sparked debate after commenting on a bandit attack in Achepe community in Nasarawa State, where he criticised youths for handing over captured suspects to the military instead of dealing with them directly.
His remarks at the time generated mixed reactions online, with some condemning his stance while others interpreted it as frustration over repeated insecurity challenges.
In the latest video, English Alhaji claimed the callers referenced his previous statements and warned him that similar treatment could be directed at him if he were ever captured.
