Funke Akindele credits hard work and personal sacrifices for her success in Nollywood, revealing dedication behind her film and content achievements

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has attributed her remarkable success in the entertainment industry to dedication, hard work, and personal sacrifice.

She shared her insights in a recent interview, highlighting the effort behind her acclaimed projects.

Akindele revealed that she often foregoes social events, vacations, and personal time to focus entirely on her craft.

“Hard work is hard work. You put in the effort when it matters, depriving yourself of things many will chase to achieve your goals,” she said.

The actress pointed to projects such as Jenifa, Industreet, Aiyetoro, and her work with siblings as examples of her relentless commitment.

For three years, she focused on building these brands, often isolating herself in Amen Estate with her team to ensure quality content.

She also emphasised the importance of prioritising work over appearances while on set.

“I am everywhere and very hands-on, no wig, just on my rough cornrows, working hard and seeing that everything is in perfect order. Only after the work is done do we prepare for marketing and glam,” Akindele explained.

The billionaire actress’s approach reflects a disciplined work ethic, demonstrating that success in Nollywood stems from effort, focus, and strategic sacrifices rather than glamour alone.
