GehGeh criticises Peller marriage, questioning the TikToker’s emotional and mental readiness after his bride price ceremony with Jarvis
Social media personality Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has criticised TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, over the content creator’s decision to proceed with marriage to his partner, Elizabeth Aminata, popularly called Jarvis, following a recent bride price ceremony.

The criticism emerged on Sunday after Peller announced that he had completed the traditional marriage rites for Jarvis during a family introduction ceremony attended by relatives and close associates.
The development marked another significant step in the couple’s relationship, weeks after Peller proposed to Jarvis in Ghana.
Sharing moments from the ceremony on Instagram, Peller expressed excitement about formalising his relationship with the woman he described as the love of his life.
“Today, I proudly paid the bride price of the woman I love,” Peller wrote alongside a video from the event.
The announcement quickly generated widespread reactions across social media platforms, with supporters congratulating the couple and critics questioning whether the young influencer was ready for the responsibilities associated with marriage.
Among the most vocal critics was GehGeh, who argued that financial success should not be the sole measure of a person’s preparedness for married life.
In a post on X, GehGeh challenged those defending Peller’s decision based on his earnings and growing popularity.
“Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money, allow him’. But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” GehGeh wrote.
The social media commentator maintained that personal maturity and emotional development are just as important as financial stability when making a lifelong commitment.
“You still growing as a child why get married now eehn. I tried my possible best to help you but you failed to listen to me. Peller don go marry Jarvis. Upon all my advice this boy still pour spit for my face,” he added.
GehGeh further urged supporters of the marriage to reflect on whether they would encourage a younger sibling or family member to marry at a similar age, suggesting that age and personal growth should remain important considerations.
The comments sparked mixed reactions online, highlighting a broader debate about modern relationships, financial independence and the appropriate age for marriage.
While some social media users agreed with GehGeh’s concerns, arguing that marriage requires emotional and psychological readiness, others defended Peller’s decision, insisting that the influencer has demonstrated sufficient responsibility and financial capacity to build a family.
The discussion reflects a recurring conversation within Nigeria’s digital community, where young celebrities and content creators often face public scrutiny over personal decisions.
Similar debates have surfaced in recent years whenever high-profile influencers announced engagements or marriages at relatively young ages.
Despite the criticism, neither Peller nor Jarvis has publicly responded to GehGeh’s remarks.
The couple has instead continued to share moments from their relationship with followers, receiving congratulatory messages from fans and fellow creators.
