Newly evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Gerard has thrown his support behind Aikou to win the reality show, saying on Friday, September 11, 2026, that his choice was driven by his genuine affection for his fellow housemate.

Gerard revealed his preferred winner during his post-eviction interview with DAILY POST, where he was asked which remaining housemate he would like to see claim the Season 11 crown.

“My favourite to win is Aikou. I’m rooting for him because I like him as a person,” Gerard said.

The brief endorsement offers a glimpse into the relationships Gerard formed during his time in the Big Brother Naija house, where contestants live together under constant observation while competing for the attention and support of viewers.

Rather than basing his choice on strategy or competition, Gerard pointed to his personal connection with Aikou as the main reason for his support.

Gerard was evicted from the reality show on Sunday, September 6, 2026, after spending six weeks in the Big Brother Naija house.

His departure marked the end of his run in the competition, but his public support for Aikou gives him a new role in the season as an evicted housemate watching the remaining contestants compete for the title.

Aikou will now have to continue navigating the pressures of the competition without Gerard in the house, while also seeking to win over the wider viewing public.

Gerard’s endorsement could add another layer to the evolving alliances and friendships that have become a defining part of the Season 11 storyline.

As the competition progresses, viewers will ultimately determine who remains in contention and who takes the coveted BBNaija crown.

For Gerard, however, his choice is already clear. He wants Aikou to go all the way.
