‘Good night!’ AVSE Wole Adetiran final journey begins with symposium

The final journey of the late musicologist and Director of Music of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Isaac Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran, M.O.N., began on Saturday, 20th August, 2022, with a symposium at Ibafo, Ogun State.

Adetiran who composed the N.Y.S.C. anthem still in use till date was honoured by the Directorate of the National Youth Service Corps, as serving Corps Members honoured the departed music icon with a parade at the venue of the symposium.

The event which was organized by the family of the deceased drew a large crowd of Celestial Church of Christ faithfuls including Cardinal James Odunbaku and AVSE V.B. Williams, a retired army General and member of the Board of Trustees of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

The final burial rites of the late music legend continued on Sunday, 21st August, 2022, with a roadshow, also at the Ibafo axis of Ogun State. The burial train will move to Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday 22nd August, 2022, where a Service of Songs would be held at the Celestial Church of Christ, Army Barracks Road, Mokola, Ibadan. And on Tuesday, 22nd August, 2022, a Commendation Service would hold at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, between 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm.

The journey continues on Wednesday, 24th August, 2022, with an Interdenominational Music Concert at the Blue Roof, LTV 8 premises, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Lagos, between the hours of 10.00 am – 10.00 pm. Thursday 25th August, 2022 and Friday 26th August, 2022, are fixed for Wake Keep and Interment at Imeko, Ogun State.

A grand reception is scheduled to hold at the Balmoral Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos, on Saturday, 27th August, 2022, while activities would be rounded up with a Thanksgiving Service at the Celestial Church of Christ, International Headquarters Church, Arch Diocese, Ketu, Lagos, on Sunday, 28th August, 2022.
