Fayose disclosed the heartbreaking development in an Instagram post shared on Saturday.

In another emotional post accompanied by photographs of his late wife, Fayose wrote, “Odaro oyinbo mi,” as he bade her farewell.

The Isaac Fayose wife death announcement comes months after he publicly revealed that his wife had been battling cancer.

In March, after visiting his family in Australia, Fayose disclosed through Instagram that her health had deteriorated significantly.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber,” he had said.

He further recounted how the illness affected their daily lives, revealing that he had to care for her during the difficult period.

“She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang,” Fayose said tearfully at the time.

The Isaac Fayose wife death news has since triggered an outpouring of condolences from followers, friends and celebrities across social media platforms.

Among those who reacted were actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba and veteran musician Daddy Showkey, who sympathised with Fayose over the painful loss.

Supporters and associates have also flooded his social media pages with prayers and messages of comfort following the announcement.

The late Mrs Fayose had largely maintained a private life away from the public despite her husband’s social and political visibility.
