Speaker Obasa hails Jandor’s return to the APC, calling it a major boost for unity and development within Lagos and the ruling party

Jandor, the former PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 Lagos election, has officially returned to the All-Progressives Congress (APC)— and his comeback is already drawing praise from top party leaders.

Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, welcomed Jandor at his residence in Ikeja GRA on Tuesday, describing the return as a positive development and a strategic win for the APC.

“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” Obasa said. “The APC remains the only political platform that truly reflects the aspirations of Lagosians and Nigerians as a whole.”

Obasa commended Jandor for his courage and political conviction, assuring him of full reintegration into the party’s fold.

He emphasized that the APC’s inclusive structure offers the right platform for unity, growth, and good governance.

In response, Jandor, whose official return to the APC took place in March 2025, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and pledged to actively contribute to the party’s vision.

“It is only through unity of purpose, shared sacrifice, and responsible leadership that we can secure a brighter and more prosperous future for every Nigerian,” Jandor said.

He also endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing tax reforms, calling them bold and necessary steps to reshape Nigeria’s economy for long-term prosperity.

“Though demanding, the President’s reforms are courageous steps toward re-engineering our economy,” he added.

Jandor’s return is widely seen as a strategic realignment ahead of upcoming political developments in Lagos, and his commitment to collaboration signals a potential strengthening of APC’s grassroots appeal.
