Jason Derulo marriage views reveal fear of commitment after witnessing breakups, as the singer reflects on being single at 37

American singer Jason Derulo has admitted that his views on marriage have shifted dramatically, revealing he never expected to still be single at the age of 37.

Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, made the candid remarks during an interview with Graham Bensinger, where he reflected on his personal relationships and evolving outlook on commitment.

The ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ hitmaker said he once believed he would settle down early, noting that he had expected to marry several of the women he dated.

However, Jason Derulo said life experiences and what he has witnessed in other relationships have reshaped his perspective.

“I thought I was going to marry a lot of the girls I dated. Never in a million years I thought that I would be 37 and single,” he said.

Jason Derulo added that repeated exposure to turbulent relationships has made him increasingly cautious, describing scenes of sudden breakups and emotional strain that left a lasting impression.

“I have seen too much in my life. You could imagine the things that I have seen; married women leaving their spouses on the spot, leaving their men in the club. I have seen everything under the sun,” he explained.

The Jason Derulo marriage views reflect a broader sense of hesitation, as the singer pointed to real-life experiences rather than personal heartbreak alone as the source of his concerns.

Jason Derulo previously dated fellow singer Jordin Sparks for three years before the relationship ended in September 2014.

In 2021, Jason Derulo welcomed a son with his then-girlfriend Jena Frumes. The couple separated just months after the child’s birth, marking another high-profile chapter in his personal life.

Despite his reservations, Jason Derulo’s remarks offer a striking and introspective glimpse into the challenges of modern relationships and the lingering impact of lived experiences on long-term commitment.
