Blending Caribbean swagger with West African groove, Jomapel Yankee delivers Hotter Than (Eternity)—a sultry, energetic single celebrating confidence, femininity, and magnetic attraction.
Released on May 23, the track has already racked up over 500,000 streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and Audiomack.
“She’s the hottest woman in the building. She knows it. And I want every woman who hears this to feel like she’s that woman,” Yankee says.
Though now based in Europe, Jomapel’s sound is firmly rooted in Sierra Leonean pride.
“My people back home are my foundation,” he shares. “Everything I create reflects the energy and culture I grew up in.”

Starting out as a rapper between 2009 and 2012, Yankee’s journey led him to South Africa’s Afro-house scene in 2014, before settling into the Afrobeats wave in 2018.
He’s since evolved into a fully independent artist performing, mixing, and mastering his music himself.
Produced by Lagos-based Jhay2unez known for working with Seyi Vibez, Lil Kesh, and Young Jonn the production fuses smooth Afro-pop percussion with polished vocals, creating a track built for both dance floors and playlists.
Now making inroads into Nigeria’s competitive Afrobeats market, Jomapel Yankee Hotter Than is building momentum with radio spins, playlist placements, and growing support in Lagos and beyond.
