Mourinho, who took charge of Fenerbahce in June after leaving AS Roma, shared his thoughts during an interview with HT Spor.
Reflecting on his time at Roma, where he faced Osimhen several times in Serie A, Mourinho recounted a conversation he had with the forward during a match between Roma and Napoli.

“I told Osimhen, ‘you are one of the best players in Africa, alongside Salah. You can’t be diving,’” Mourinho revealed.
He compared Osimhen to African football legends like Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, and George Weah, urging him to focus on his game rather than falling easily.
Despite this criticism, Mourinho clarified that his issue with Osimhen’s diving didn’t last long, stating, “after 10 minutes, we are fine.”
As Osimhen settles into his new role at Galatasaray, his encounters with Mourinho’s Fenerbahce will undoubtedly be ones to watch, especially with Mourinho’s advice still fresh in the air.
