According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, Malam Ibraheem Musa, the pilgrims gathered to seek divine intervention for the country and its leaders on one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.
The statement described the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, known as the Day of Arafat, as a sacred moment when Muslims are encouraged to pray for personal needs, families and their nations.
Islamic cleric Sheikh Haliru Maraya urged the pilgrims to continue praying with faith, stressing that prayer remains a powerful solution to societal and national challenges.
He also advised against cursing leaders, saying such actions contradict Islamic teachings.
“There is no challenge on earth that cannot be solved through constant prayers with faith,” Sheikh Maraya said during the gathering.
Several Islamic scholars participated in the special prayer session, including Sheikh Aliyu Telex, Imam Buhari Mararaban Jos and Alkali Abubakar Salihu Zaria, alongside other clerics.
Following the prayers, the leader of the Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, commended Governor Uba Sani for supporting smooth Hajj operations through effective administrative planning.
Mustapha also praised the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and the Special Hajj Committee for ensuring a successful pilgrimage exercise.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Committee on Interfaith and Hajj, Hon. Naziru Abubakar, described the Kaduna pilgrims agency as a benchmark for other state agencies across Nigeria.
