On Thursday, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje made donations to the Singer and Kurmi markets fire victims totaling N200 million and N50 million, respectively.
The markets were destroyed by fire, which destroyed numerous businesses and cost their owners stuff worth millions of naira as well as other intangible valuables.

Malam Muhammad Garba, the commissioner for information and internal affairs, revealed the information in a press release and stated that the fund’s release was intended to offer urgent assistance to the affected traders who lost items in the fire.
Malam Garba said the state government would look into other ways of supporting the traders after studying the recommendations of the committee that had been set up in the next five days.
While commiserating with victims of the inferno, Ganduje called on individuals and organizations to support the traders in every way humanly possible. He prayed to Allah in His infinite mercy to prevent future occurrences of the fire disaster.
