The incident reportedly occurred as early as 5:00 am, causing significant disruption on the Ozumba Mbadiwe Road.
One social media user, Sesan Isaac, criticised the club’s actions as “reckless and irresponsible” and called for immediate action from the authorities.
“Quilox apparently blocked the Ozumba Mbadiwe Road by 5 am. This is reckless and irresponsible. @jidesanwoolu @lagosMOT1 @tokunbo_wahab @followlasg should do something about this,” Isaac posted.

Another concerned resident suggested that the Lagos State government should implement stricter fines for traffic obstruction and consider penalties that could include the cancellation of drivers’ licences for repeat offenders.
Club Quilox, a well-known establishment in Lagos, is owned by Shina Peller, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa in Oyo State.
Residents are urging the Lagos State government to take decisive action to prevent similar occurrences in the future, highlighting the importance of maintaining smooth traffic flow and public safety.
