Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency is taking action to support a survivor of a viral sexual assault video
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSV) has confirmed receipt of reports regarding a video circulating on social media in which a young woman detailed her experience of sexual assault at her residence.
The agency issued a statement on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, addressing public concerns and outlining ongoing interventions.

The statement emphasised that efforts are underway to contact the survivor to offer immediate support, appropriate intervention, and ascertain her location.
Agency officials said initial communication has been made through available channels and confirmed that contact will continue until the survivor is safely reached.
“We urge anyone with credible information that can assist us in reaching her directly and safely to contact the Agency via direct message on our official social media channels,” the statement read.
The Lagos State Government reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against domestic and sexual violence, describing sexual assault as a criminal offence.
The agency assured the public that all reports are handled with confidentiality and urgency.
