The 19-year-old Barcelona star reached the landmark on Sunday as Spain defeated defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the World Cup final at the New York New Jersey Stadium, securing La Roja’s second world title and their first since lifting the trophy in South Africa in 2010.
According to FIFA, Yamal is the youngest footballer to complete the remarkable international double, further underlining a rise that has transformed him into one of the sport’s brightest talents before his 20th birthday.
