Armed robbers attacked vehicles along Lagos’ Mile 12–Ketu axis, leaving commuters shaken as police intensify patrols to restore safety
Commuters along the Mile 12–Ketu axis were left shaken Monday morning after armed robbers reportedly targeted vehicles, wielding cutlasses and attempting to force open car doors.

The incident was highlighted on social media, with one user reporting that robbers tried to open a car door along the busy corridor despite the presence of two nearby police stations.
Reacting to the alarming report, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the Commissioner of Police has directed the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer, and the Tactical Team to intensify patrols and clamp down on criminal activity along the corridor.
“The Command is fully committed to securing lives and property,” SP Adebisi said, adding that no area will be left unmonitored, particularly those with recurring criminal activities.
