The summit, themed “Divine Mandate for Political Reformation of Renewed Hope Agenda,” will convene Christian leaders, political officeholders, technocrats, and civil society actors from across the South-West for dialogue on faith-informed public service and ethical leadership.
His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Aduragbemi Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State, will attend as Special Guest of Honour, signalling the political and ecclesiastical weight attached to the gathering.
According to the organisers, the event represents a milestone in NACLFON’s mission to mobilise Christian leaders within the All Progressives Congress for active participation in governance rooted in integrity, accountability, and service.
Professor Adebayo Adeniji, JP, South-West Coordinator of NACLFON, described the summit as a decisive moment for faith-based engagement in public affairs.
Professor Adebayo Adeniji said the gathering was intended as a clarion call for leaders to recognise political authority as a sacred trust and to ensure that governance reforms are supported by ethical and spiritual renewal.
Dr Olatunji Oluwadamilare, Host State Coordinator for Lagos, stated that the state was honoured to host what he called a historic meeting of Christian voices committed to influencing policy with justice, equity, and compassion.
Discussions at the NACLFON South-West Summit will centre on redefining political participation as a calling, strengthening transparency in public office, and reinforcing the role of the Church as a moral guide in Nigeria’s democratic development.
NACLFON, described as the premier platform for Christian leaders within the APC, was established to promote synergy between faith and governance, advocate policies that protect religious freedom and social justice, and encourage principled political engagement.
