Nathaniel Bassey warning as gospel singer cautions married men and women against secret relationships and moral compromise

Popular gospel singer and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has issued a strong warning to married men who conceal their marital status and engage in secret relationships with young women, cautioning that such conduct could attract severe consequences.

Bassey delivered the warning during a recent church service that began trending on social media on Wednesday, where he addressed issues of deception, sexual immorality, and accountability among married men.

The cleric cautioned married men who present themselves as single and pursue intimate relationships outside their marriages, particularly those who lure young women under false pretences.

According to Nathaniel Bassey, men who hide their marital status, deceive young women, and take them to hotels could face serious repercussions if they continue such behaviour.

“If you are a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on, and even sleeping with them, you are inviting trouble,” Bassey said during the sermon. He warned that continued misconduct could lead to public exposure and lasting shame.

The gospel singer stressed that secrecy would not protect offenders, adding that their actions could be exposed and widely remembered.

Bassey also directed a warning at women who knowingly enter relationships with married men, especially when motivated by financial benefits, gifts, or material gain.

He cautioned that personal awareness and moral responsibility remain critical, urging women to avoid relationships that compromise values and dignity.

The sermon has since sparked widespread reactions online, with supporters praising the message as a bold call for moral accountability, while others debated the tone and language used.
