NCSP marks Workers’ Day with positive call for unity

NCSP Workers’ Day celebration highlights dignity, collaboration and shared prosperity, with focus on stronger Nigeria–China partnerships

The Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), led by Director-General Joseph Tegbe, has marked International Workers’ Day 2026 in Abuja with a call for dignity, collaboration, and shared prosperity as Nigeria joins the global community in celebrating workers.

The organisation stated that the occasion serves as a powerful reminder that sustainable economic growth depends on sustained investment in people and human capital development.

NCSP emphasised that empowering workers through skills development, inclusion, and access to opportunity remains central to achieving long-term national transformation.

Director-General Joseph Tegbe said the progress recorded in Nigeria–China relations has been driven by the commitment and expertise of individuals working across both countries.

He noted that every milestone achieved reflects the contribution of workers whose efforts continue to shape economic and industrial outcomes.

Tegbe stressed that discussions around workers’ dignity must translate into measurable impact, particularly in areas such as innovation, capacity building, and institutional support systems.

The NCSP also highlighted its role in strengthening ties between Nigerian talent and Chinese expertise to support industrial expansion and economic diversification.

According to the organisation, it has secured investment commitments across key sectors including agriculture, automotive manufacturing, mining, steel production, and energy.

The partnership described these initiatives as part of a broader effort to deliver sustainable and inclusive growth that benefits both nations.

As the global labour landscape continues to evolve, NCSP reaffirmed its commitment to building people-centred partnerships that enhance livelihoods and expand opportunities.

The organisation said such collaborations remain essential to ensuring long-term prosperity and stronger bilateral relations between Nigeria and China.
