NLC President Joe Ajaero, in his message on Monday, encouraged downtrodden Nigerians to maintain hope, despite the burden of broken promises, exploitation, and corruption by the government.

In his statement, Ajaero praised workers for their resilience, stating that their continued sacrifices and perseverance reflect their strength in the face of repeated betrayals from political leaders. He urged Nigerians to protest, within legal limits, against injustices and the subversion of democratic principles by the political elite.
Ajaero further cautioned the political elite, noting that circumventing democratic values can no longer be the norm.
He stated that the acts of omission and commission by these leaders have contributed to the current state of the nation. Ajaero concluded by calling for a fresh start, where Nigeria embraces a more democratic and just future.
