‘Not true’ FirstBank debunks closure notice in South East (Photos)

A foremost banking brand in Nigeria, FirstBank, has debunked the news making the rounds that its branches in the south eastern part of the country have been closed down.

Recall that few days ago, there had been report being circulated on popular social media regarding the suspension of operations in some certain parts of the country.

However, the post was called out on a thread by a user who claimed the image used was an old one.

In a release signed by the bank and shared with Freelanews, the bank denounced such report and informed the general public to disregard such information likewise.

It read:

Public Announcement

This is to inform the public that our South East branches are fully open for business. Please disregard any news making the rounds that is contrary to this.

Thank you.
