Popular political commentator, Reno Omokri, has in a a recent political analysis, suggested that the 2027 presidential election can only be won by the former presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, only if Peter Obi of the Labour Party doesn’t participate.

Recall that the incumbent president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who was a candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, left his two major contenders in the dust with the highest votes of over 8million.

Not only that, President Tinubu also floored the two at the election tribunal before finally securing his victory through the supreme court confirmation.

According to Omokri, if both Abubakar and Peter Obi decide to run in the election, the incumbent president could secure re-election, provided all three candidates remain in good health.

He, however, noted that a critical factor in this prediction is the potential impact of a leaked audio referred to as the “Yes Daddy” audio, which may have damaged Peter Obi’s political standing.

“If Waziri Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi both contest again in 2027, President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected, God sparing the lives of all three men. The only way Waziri Atiku Abubakar can defeat the incumbent is if Peter Obi does not run. If Waziri Atiku Abubakar does not run and it is a straight contest between Peter Obi and President Tinubu because of the Yes Daddy leaked audio, the President will roundly and soundly defeat Obi.

“I understand this is not what some people want to hear, but they must appreciate that that audio leak has fatally destroyed Peter Obi. The highest he can achieve politically is to be a spoiler at the Presidential level,” he wrote.
