Fire razes popular Ebute Metta market village today, 5 January 2022
The fire broke out in the morning along Coates Street in Ebute Meta, according to eyewitness reports.
In addition, it was discovered that many inhabitants were injured while attempting to evacuate.
The source of the fire is unknown as of this moment, but residents and plank merchants are urgently saving whatever they can get their hands on.
The development has generated significant traffic congestion in Ebute Meta neighborhood, as well as on the route leading to the iconic Third Mainland Bridge in Obalende. As of the time of this report, there was no fire department on the scene to assist with the situation.
