Pastor Adeboye and RCCG reject false claims, addressing allegations of misinformation and misrepresentation in a strongly worded statement

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, issued a statement in Lagos, Nigeria, firmly rejecting allegations of misinformation and misrepresentation directed at the church, as the leadership responded to growing public commentary surrounding its image and activities.

The statement, described by church officials as both resolute and necessary, addressed what the RCCG termed persistent narratives it believes have distorted its record and public engagement over time.

The leadership insisted that the organisation remains committed to transparency, spiritual service, and community development across Nigeria and beyond.

In the statement, Pastor Adeboye adopted a defiant tone, urging restraint in the spread of unverified claims and calling for greater responsibility in public discourse concerning religious institutions.

The RCCG reject false claims message was presented as a clarification rather than a confrontation, though its language reflected clear frustration over repeated allegations.

Church representatives also highlighted ongoing charitable and outreach initiatives, pointing to education support schemes, healthcare interventions, and youth empowerment programmes as evidence of sustained social impact.

These activities, they argued, are often overshadowed by what they described as misleading commentary circulating in some public spaces.

The situation underscores a broader tension between prominent religious organisations and sections of public discourse, particularly in an era where information spreads rapidly across digital platforms.

Observers note that such disputes increasingly shape perceptions of major faith institutions.

Despite the controversy, RCCG leadership maintained that it will continue its spiritual and humanitarian mission without distraction, reiterating confidence in its global reputation and long-standing community engagement.
