Speaking at the launch of the EKO57 support group in Lagos, the actress recounted how online trolls blamed her political support for the death of her daughter.

According to her, critics went as far as alleging that Tinubu was responsible for her loss because of her loyalty to his campaign. Despite the emotional attacks, she said she refused to back down and still went out to vote.

“I am not scared,” she said, stressing that people should not be intimidated when exercising their voting rights.

Surutu also reaffirmed her support for Tinubu, stating that she is ready to campaign for him again ahead of future elections. She challenged critics to present alternative leadership options instead of attacking supporters.
