Asake leaves YBNL

Speculation grows over Asake’s exit from YBNL after social media changes. Fans wonder about the future of his creative journey.

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]igerian singer Asake has reportedly parted ways with his record label, YBNL, sparking intense speculation on social media.

Fans noticed the changes when Asake removed references to YBNL from his Instagram bio, replacing them with the title “creative director.” Further fuelling the rumours, Asake also unfollowed the label’s founder, Olamide, on Instagram.

However, a recent check reveals that YBNL still follows Asake on the platform, suggesting that an official confirmation has yet to be made.

Asake remains one of the six accounts YBNL follows on Instagram, keeping fans guessing about the true status of his relationship with the label.

Asake joined YBNL in 2022 and quickly rose to stardom with his hit single ‘Sungba’, earning widespread recognition and a loyal fanbase.

Under YBNL, he released a string of successful tracks, solidifying his position as one of Nigeria’s top music acts.

Fans are now wondering about Asake’s next move, especially after rebranding himself as a creative director.

Many have speculated that he may be embarking on a new phase in his career, possibly exploring independent artistry or starting his own venture.

Neither Asake nor YBNL has issued an official statement about the alleged split, leaving room for speculation.

As the story develops, fans eagerly await clarity on the future of the collaboration that brought them some of Afrobeats’ most memorable hits.
