Governor Chukwuma Soludo is sworn in for a second term in Anambra State, with top dignitaries in attendance at Awka ceremony
Chukwuma Soludo has been sworn in for a second term as Governor of Anambra State.

The ceremony took place at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, attracting dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.
Soludo arrived at the venue at 11:18 a.m. alongside top officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Also in attendance were elder statesman Emeka Anyaoku and the Ooni of Ife.
The governor took the oath of allegiance at exactly 11:50 a.m., followed by the oath of office, which lasted about five minutes.
He was accompanied by his wife, Nonye Soludo, who stood beside him throughout the ceremony.
Soludo then signed the oath documents in the presence of the state’s Chief Judge at 11:55 a.m., drawing applause from attendees.

The inauguration marks the commencement of his second term in office, which is expected to run until 2030.
