Nigerian singer Spyro has outlined strict Spyro collaborations rules, refusing to feature in videos with smoking or nudity and declining projects that promote inappropriate themes
Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has opened up about his principles and rules regarding collaborations in the music industry.
During an interview on TVC, Spyro revealed that he maintains strict standards over the kind of content he is linked to, refusing to appear in videos featuring smoking or nudity and avoiding projects that promote inappropriate themes.
“You can’t be in a video with me and you’re smoking. That can’t happen. You can’t be in a video with me and you’re naked. That won’t happen. I have rules and regulations to working with people,” he said.
Spyro also spoke about his type of music and his goal in the Nigerian music industry, noting that he declines features on songs that do not align with his standards.
“I can’t be on a song that is not clean, to start with. When I did ‘Sweet’ with Shoday, Shoday was promoting it in some funny kind of way, and I called him.
I said, ‘Shoday, give your life to Christ.’ And he said I should continue my own while he faces his,” he added.
