The students of Olashore International School, OIS, are very excited as the school opened its gates for academic session.

Recall that just as other educational institutions in the world, the school has also been on lockdown for the past five months as the novel Coronavirus hit the world.

However, according to the chairman of Board of Governors, this hasn’t affected the continuous education of the students of the foremost secondary school as the management had always been proactive.

“Most of our students have their iPads, so from home, they were able to log in and the third term went well,” said Prince Abimbola Olashore.

As the world prepared partial opening of the school, Olashore has also joined the rest of the world in welcoming the final year students back for their final examinations.

“We are excited to welcome back our Year 12 students back to school for their WASSCE and wish them success as they write their exams,” the school posted on its official Twitter handle.

Olashore was founded in 1994 by late Oba Oladele Olashore, CON (The Ajagbusi Ekun, Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa). The late Kabiyesi knew what he wanted of the school; one that would compete with its counterparts around the world and also offer quality boarding education of an international standard in a serene environment to Nigerians, living at home and abroad and expatriate residents of Nigeria, who prefer to have their children educated locally.

The school believes in the dignity and worth of each student and recognises the importance of mutual responsibility in the world community.
