President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kenya to participate in the Africa Forward Summit on economic growth and regional cooperation
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Nairobi in the early hours of Monday to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, a major continental gathering focused on economic transformation, regional cooperation and sustainable development across Africa.

The presidential aircraft landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:18 a.m. local time, signalling the start of a high-level diplomatic engagement involving African leaders, global policymakers and development partners.
President Tinubu was received on arrival by Musalia Mudavadi, alongside Isaac Parashina, senior Kenyan officials and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Kenya.
The summit, jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, is expected to focus on strengthening Africa’s economic future through cooperation in trade, digital innovation, infrastructure, climate resilience and investment partnerships.
According to the Presidency, Tinubu Africa Forward Summit participation reflects Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening African unity and expanding regional economic collaboration.
The summit is also expected to create opportunities for bilateral and multilateral engagements between African leaders and international stakeholders seeking deeper continental integration.
During the meetings, President Tinubu is expected to discuss trade expansion, food security, climate action, maritime cooperation and digital economy development.
The Nigerian delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; and Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani.
Other members of the delegation include Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change, Omotenioye Majekodunmi, Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, and Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye.
The Africa Forward Summit is expected to attract heads of state, investors, business executives and policy experts from across Africa and beyond as discussions intensify on building powerful African-led solutions to economic and developmental challenges.

The Presidency stated that President Tinubu’s attendance aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and its broader objective of positioning Nigeria as a leading voice in Africa’s economic and diplomatic future.
