The crash, which resulted from reckless high-speed driving, claimed one life and left eight others severely injured.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) swiftly responded to the scene, rescuing the injured passengers, who were immediately transported to Gbagada General Hospital by the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS).

The injured suffered multiple fractures, and police from Bariga and Alonge Police Stations provided essential security during the rescue efforts.

LASTMA Director of Public Affairs, Adebayo Taofiq, urged motorists to observe speed limits and practice safe driving to prevent such tragedies. The agency expressed its condolences to the bereaved family and wished the injured a quick recovery.

In a related incident, a Honda CRV overturned on the Third Mainland Bridge due to excessive speeding. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and LASTMA cleared the wreckage to ensure smooth traffic flow.
