Mr. John Otobo, the manager of Union Bank’s Igueben branch in Edo State, has been reportedly killed by kidnappers after they allegedly collected N8 million in ransom.
Details surrounding the incident are still emerging, but it has been gathered that Otobo’s body was found in the bush following the payment of the ransom.
According to reports, Otobo was kidnapped a few days ago while on his way home from work between Ugbegun and Uromi.
Confirming the tragic news, a member of the community, Odion Humphrey, shared the information in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
“The entire Udo community say goodbye to you, Mr. John Otobo, the Branch Manager of Union Bank Igueben. You will forever remain in our hearts. As for your killer, may they never know peace all the days of their lives. May Almighty God grant you eternal rest, and may your soul and the souls of every other faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen,” Humphrey wrote.
