VeryDarkMan raises safety concerns after King Mitchy apologizes, alleging the move may be a decoy and warning that some individuals should be held responsible if anything happens to him
Nigerian activist and content creator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has raised concerns about his safety following a public apology from socialite King Mitchy.
The social media personality suggested that Mitchy’s apology might be a “decoy” meant to mislead the public about a possible plot against him.

Earlier, Mitchy had addressed VDM directly in a video, acknowledging his advocacy and expressing regret for previously confronting him.
“To VeryDarkMan, my brother, I see what you’re fighting for. You’re fighting for Nigeria and we can make Nigeria a better place. I’m sorry for coming at you like that. Maybe now I understand you better,” Mitchy said.
She also noted that the activist needs more supporters rather than critics in his quest to make Nigeria a better place.
However, reacting via his Instagram page on Sunday, VDM questioned the sudden apology and claimed it may have deeper implications.
“This apology from King Mitchy cannot just come from nowhere,” he said.
He referenced a previous video made by Lege Miami, which he said was later deleted after alleged pressure from powerful individuals. According to him, Mitchy’s apology has now made him suspicious about possible motives behind it.
VDM further alleged that he has been specifically targeted and warned that certain individuals should be held accountable if anything happens to him.
“If anything happens to me, hold Mitchy and Seyi Tinubu responsible,” he said.
The activist also claimed that messages meant to intimidate him were previously sent through mutual contacts during the dispute.
Expressing fear for his safety, VDM warned that there might be attempts to frame him for crimes such as drug possession, fraud, or illegal firearm possession.
“If you hear they see drugs or anything inside my car, they set me up. If you hear say I do fraud or money laundering, they set me up,” he said.

VDM maintained that any allegation of criminal activity against him should be treated with suspicion, insisting that he believes there may be attempts to silence him.
