Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Amyr Yousufzai, popularly known as Aikou, was officially informed on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, during his diary session at the Big Brother house that he is one of the season’s secret Gambits, with Big Brother directing him to keep the role confidential.

The announcement introduced a fresh layer of strategy into the reality show, as Aikou was told that his new responsibility would require him to operate as an undercover player while maintaining the appearance of a regular housemate.

“Aikou, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret,” Big Brother told him during the private diary room conversation.

Aikou appeared surprised by the revelation but accepted the assignment before leaving the diary room, marking the beginning of his new role in the competition.

The development followed Sunday’s live eviction show, where host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that viewers had selected Aikou and Flora as the two Gambits for the 11th season of the reality show.

While viewers had already been aware of the twist, Aikou’s diary session represented the first time he was personally informed by Big Brother about his selection and the expectations attached to the role.

Unlike the other housemates competing for the show’s ₦160 million grand prize, Aikou and Flora are no longer eligible to win the main reward.

Instead, they will remain in the house as Big Brother’s confidential operatives, carrying out secret assignments intended to shape interactions and influence the direction of activities.
