Wema Bank celebrates 80 years by reaffirming its commitment to women entrepreneurs through the 2025 NBC Trade Fair sponsorship

 

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ema Bank, Nigeria’s most innovative financial institution and pioneer of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, has reaffirmed its dedication to supporting women-led businesses.

As part of its 80th-anniversary celebrations, the bank has announced its return as the headline sponsor of the 2025 NBC Trade Fair.

This initiative will span 16 states in Nigeria and extend internationally, offering extensive support to thousands of women entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Building on the success of the 2024 NBC Trade Fair, Wema Bank continues to drive economic growth by fostering inclusivity and business expansion.

The previous fair generated over ₦3.5 billion in SME revenue, hosted eight local fairs across major Nigerian cities, and introduced a groundbreaking international edition in London.

With over 4,450 SMEs participating—85% of which were female-led, the event showcased the transformative power of collaboration and strategic business support.
