‘World Music Day’ Music is an explosive expression of humanity, Lavolta says

Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, composer and poet, whose work has exerted a profound influence on Western philosophy and modern intellectual history, believed without music, the world is a mistake.

And in order to ensure the mistake doesn’t happen, the Fête de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, an annual music celebration, takes place every June 21. The citizens of a city or country are allowed and urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks.

Lavolta Entertainment, a reputable record label and entertainment company, which operates from the United Kingdom with a base in Nigeria, joined the rest of the world in celebrating the day.

According to the managing director of the company, Adeyemi Adegbola, it is believed that music is life.

“World Music Day is celebrated to encourage the youth to believe in themselves, come forward and show their talents in music.

“On June 21, the day is celebrated in over 120 countries including the founding country France, where this day is known as “Fête de la Musique” which means the festival of music.

“In solidarity with all music lovers, the Lavolta Entertainment Family Worldwide declares unequivocally that music is life. It is an explosive expression of humanity. It is something we are all touched by,” he said, “according to Billy Joel, he said and I quote, ‘No matter what culture you’re from, everyone loves music.'”

The record label, which boasts of several contemporary musicians on its platform, stated that different plans have been perfected to commemorate the day.

“A lot of musical works are hitting the public domain at this time. Our flagship band, Lavolta Stars, is set to release its single titled Wetin Dey Occur on June 26, 2020 on digital stores worldwide,” said the general manager, Bawo Okotie.

Wetin Dey Occur, according to Okotie, is dedicated to alleviating the pains brought on the world by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It is our little way of bringing relief, hope and succour to the world. Our message on this day is to let the music play on and heal our world.”

Lavolta believed that a good music is a collection of sound that is pleasant to the hear.

“From our standpoint of a record label and an entertainment outfit, our definition of good music is a collection of sound, which is well organised, pleasing to the ear and with a conscious message.

“Our preferences are predominantly for live band music, which also presents the opportunity for our musicians to showcase the richness of their voices and dexterity on their various live musical instruments,” Okotie submitted.
