Yul Edochie react to new name “Ronaldo of Nollywood”

Renowned Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has been given a new title by his fans—“C. Ronaldo of Nollywood”—in recognition of his exceptional acting prowess.

The nickname, inspired by the legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, emerged following the release of Yul’s latest movie, The Messiah. Fans, captivated by his outstanding performance, drew parallels between his dedication to his craft and Ronaldo’s excellence on the field.

Taking to Instagram, the actor expressed his gratitude for the accolade:
“I just heard the viewers have given me a new name after watching the movie The Messiah. They now call me the C Ronaldo of Nollywood. Means Nollywood greatest. Thank you to you all. I’m honored. Well deserved.”

The announcement has since ignited conversations online, with fans and colleagues celebrating the actor’s contributions to Nollywood. Many praised his talent, discipline, and ability to consistently deliver compelling performances, cementing his status as one of the greatest in the industry.
