The bank clinched the titles of SME Friendly Bank of the Year and Most Outstanding Digital Bank Brand in Consumer Engagement, recognizing its outstanding contributions to the digital banking space and its unwavering support for the Nigerian Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) industry.

The Brandcom Awards, an annual celebration of industry leaders hosted by Africa’s preeminent Brand, Marketing, and Communications Publication – the Brand Communicator, commended Wema Bank for its remarkable impact on the banking landscape.

Mabel Adeteye, Wema Bank’s Head of Brand and Marketing Communications, expressed gratitude for the awards, attributing the success to the trust and support of the bank’s valued customers. She acknowledged the role customers play in motivating the bank to continually improve its services, stating, “It is your faith that keeps us running and your trust that motivates us to do better, and for that, we are grateful.”

Adeteye conveyed Wema Bank’s commitment to sustaining its support and empowerment of individuals and businesses across Nigeria. She reiterated the bank’s promise to deepen its connection with every customer, becoming a reliable support system.

“Wema Bank has taken over, and with every partnership and solution, we will continue to reform the financial and digital banking services landscape and empower every customer digitally, financially, and in every way necessary,” she emphasized.

Recognizing the pivotal role SMEs play in Nigeria’s economy and the transformative power of digital innovation, Wema Bank has actively undertaken initiatives to enable the growth of these key players.

From the NYSC-ALAT Accelerator Programme to the FGN x ALAT Skillnovation Programme, the bank stands out as a digitally inclined financial powerhouse providing top-tier banking services while supporting the goals and aspirations of its customers.

Undoubtedly, Wema Bank emerges as a significant agent of positive transformation in Nigeria and beyond.
