Kobbie Mainoo is drawing interest from Newcastle United as he struggles for starts at Manchester United. Club reportedly asked about deal conditions

Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly being monitored by Newcastle United ahead of the January transfer window, following a disappointing start to the season at Manchester United.

Sources say the young England international has found himself largely on the bench under manager Ruben Amorim.

Despite scoring the decisive goal in the 2024 FA Cup Final and playing for England in the Euro 2024 final, Mainoo has yet to start a Premier League match this season.

His only start came in a Carabao Cup fixture where United suffered a shock defeat to Grimsby.

Newcastle are said to have made inquiries about the conditions of a deal for Mainoo, should Manchester United decide to let him go.

Supporters are increasingly vocal about wanting the club to act if his situation does not improve.

Manchester United reportedly placed an asking price of around £45 million earlier in the window, though no agreement has been reached.

Amorim has publicly defended Mainoo, stating that he needs to “fight for his place” and that competition in midfield is strong.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT reports that Newcastle see Mainoo as a potential signing, especially if his first‑team opportunities remain limited.

Kobbie Mainoo’s future seems tied to whether Manchester United allow a move or whether he can force his way into regular Premier League starts under Amorim.
