Tinubu reaffirms commitment to ending insecurity

Tinubu reaffirms commitment to ending insecurity and promoting peace, as Presidency hails his resolve to unite Nigeria

Tinubu reaffirms commitment to ending insecurity as the Presidency on Tuesday reiterated his determination to tackle terrorism and rebuild Nigeria’s unity through peace and collaboration.

In a statement shared on X, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Sunday Dare, described Bola Tinubu as a leader with both the courage and experience to confront the nation’s security challenges head-on.

According to Dare, Nigeria is “fortunate to have a President that is committed to ending the scourge of terror and insecurity.”

He praised Tinubu’s peace-driven leadership, noting that his administration remains steadfast in promoting harmony across the country’s religious and ethnic divides.

“President Bola Tinubu is ready and steadfast in the pursuit of collaborations to advance religious peace and tolerance, better economic ties, and building a resilient country,” Dare said.

His remarks painted a picture of a leader deeply focused on restoring stability and unity — a powerful message amid ongoing global scrutiny.

Dare further stressed that Nigeria’s diversity must remain its strength rather than a source of division.

“While our faiths will continue to differ, our destinies do not,” he said, calling Nigeria “a land of shared grief and shared hope” where citizens, regardless of religion, continue to rebuild together.

The comments come as President Tinubu prepares for a scheduled meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss allegations of a “Christian genocide” in Nigeria — claims the federal government has firmly rejected as false.

The high-stakes dialogue is expected to address counterterrorism cooperation and correct what officials describe as “dangerous misconceptions.”
