Imisi relationship with mother: BBNaija Season 10 winner reflects on emotional distance but embraces forgiveness and reconciliation

The reality TV star made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television.

Reflecting on her childhood, Imisi described the bond between her and her mother as weak, but insisted she harbours no resentment.

“We are both in a better place in our lives today,” she said, highlighting her belief that reconciliation is possible.

She acknowledged the challenges of motherhood and the sacrifices women make raising children, stating that forgiveness is achievable.

“I have reconciled with others in the past and see no reason why peace cannot exist between my mother and me,” Imisi added.

Addressing past public controversy, Imisi clarified that tensions with her mother predated her reality TV fame.

Videos had circulated online showing her mother accusing her of neglect after her BBNaija victory, but Imisi stressed the issues were longstanding.

Despite the complicated history, Imisi expressed goodwill toward her mother and hopes she continues to seek personal growth and guidance.
