Joke Silva older men insight reveals perks of marrying older spouses, sharing her love story and life with husband Olu Jacobs
Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva has highlighted what she describes as a key advantage of marrying older men, during her recent appearance on the TVC programme, Your View.
The 64-year-old actress, who married fellow actor Olu Jacobs in 1985, explained that older husbands allow women more freedom in a relationship.

Silva and Jacobs, who is 20 years her senior, have been married for over four decades and have two children.
“Yes, we met on stage, and when we met on a movie set, everybody knew it was the great Olu Jacobs who was coming, except me. When he came, we got on very well and it was after we started dating that I discovered his age because he looked so good,” Silva said.
“For him, it was love at first sight but for me, it wasn’t. This older men allows you to get away with a lot of things.”
