OGD @ 70 Table Tennis Tournament sees Otunba Gbenga Daniel promote youth talent, sports development, and inclusivity in Ogun State
Former Ogun State Governor and current Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has reinforced his commitment to youth development and healthy living with the grand finale of the OGD @ 70 Table Tennis Tournament, held in celebration of his 70th birthday.

The tournament, which reflects Daniel’s philosophy that “a healthy body is a sound mind,” will culminate on Saturday, 4 April 2026, at Obalofin Hall, Conference Hotel Ijebu-Ode, with matches scheduled between 11:00am and 3:00pm.
The event brings together diverse participants, ranging from youths and veterans to Paralympians and professional para-athletes.
Finalists will compete across categories designed to showcase emerging grassroots talents, celebrate resilience, and engage the community.
Veterans will face off against Senator Daniel himself in a symbolic match underscoring the celebrant’s sporting spirit, while consolation prizes and awards will be presented during a formal closing ceremony.
