NMA calls arrest of Blessing CEO over alleged fake report scandal

NMA calls for arrest and prosecution of Blessing CEO over alleged fake breast cancer report linked to forgery claims

The Nigerian Medical Association (Nigerian Medical Association) has called for the arrest and prosecution of social media personality Blessing CEO over allegations that she circulated a forged medical report claiming breast cancer diagnosis.

The association stated that Blessing CEO fake medical report claims were misleading and fraudulent, alleging that the document being circulated originally belongs to another individual identified as Mbara Deborah.

According to the NMA, the document was falsely presented to the public, with the intention of deceiving Nigerians and potentially profiting from the emotional sensitivity surrounding cancer-related issues.

The medical body described the act as a serious breach of public trust and warned that such actions could undermine confidence in legitimate medical information and reporting.

The Nigerian Medical Association urged relevant authorities to take immediate action, insisting that prosecution is necessary to prevent further exploitation of unsuspecting members of the public.

It also stressed that the spread of false medical claims poses risks not only to individuals but also to the credibility of the healthcare system.

The development has sparked widespread reactions online, with many calling for stricter regulation of health-related claims shared on social media platforms.
